Terms and Conditions - National Centre for Evangelisation, Australia

The Australian Bishops Gathering with Ecclesial Movements and New Communities(BCELM EMNC Gathering) is a national gathering of Catholics organised and conducted by the Australian Episcopal Conference of the Roman Catholic Church (AEC) (an entity of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference) and hosted by its agency, the National Centre for Evangelisation (NCE). The BCELM Gathering 2025 will take place between 21022 August, 2205 in MacKillop Place, North Sydney .

BY REGISTERING FOR THE BCELM EMNC GATHERING YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

General (All)

1. I the undersigned wish to participate in BCELM EMNC Gathering to be held from 21-22 August 2025 inclusive.

2. I understand that BCELM EMNC Gathering is offered as an initiative for those 18 years and older.

3. I agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and any policies (including in relation to child protection or health & safety) and rules notified to me by AEC. I understand that a breach of the rules may result in my removal from BCELM EMNC Gatheringand my exclusion from future conferences. If I am removed from BCELM EMNC Gathering, I accept responsibility for all costs incurred.

4. I indemnify and release the AEC and their officers, employees, volunteers and agents against claims and losses of any kind arising out of or in connection with my participation in BCELM EMNC Gathering.

5. I agree to comply with all relevant laws during BCELM EMNC Gathering.

Code of Conduct

6. I will participate in a respectful, safe, inclusive and supportive manner. I will listen to and look out for other participants, acknowledge others and their feelings, be courteous at all times, ask questions and not make assumptions.

7. If I am not feeling that I am being treated in a respectful, safe, inclusive or supportive way, I will respectfully raise and report my concerns, and seek assistance from event leaders via the conference chat or the NCE enquiry email info@nce.catholic.org.au.

8. I will not interfere with, interrupt or in any way hinder BCELM EMNC Gathering presentations, and understand that doing so may result in my removal from BCELM EMNC Gathering and exclusion from future conferences.

Registration

9. Registrations will close on Thursday 24 July 2025. Registrations must be paid in full with names and details finalised. Any changes after this date may incur an administration fee.

10. Registrations can be transferred to another person by logging into your online registration account or contacting info@nce.catholic.org.au.

11. Refunds, approved by the NCE prior to Thursday 24 July 2025, will be processed after 22 August 2025. No refunds will be approved on or after Friday 25 July 2025. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to info@nce.catholic.org.au.

Filming and photographing

12. I consent to AEC and their nominees filming and/or photographing and/or recording me (Footage) during BCELM EMNC Gathering.

13. I consent to AEC and their nominees using my name, image, likeness and voice and that this Footage may be used by the AEC for promotional, marketing or other purposes associated with BCELM EMNC Gathering.

14. I consent to AEC, without limitation, using, reproducing, exhibiting, editing, adapting, compiling with other works or materials, transmitting, broadcasting, publishing and distributing the Footage in any media at its discretion.

15. I acknowledge that AEC are not obliged to publish or otherwise use the Footage or any part of it.

16. I agree that any form of intellectual property rights in the Footage (audio and visual) and all works derived or created under it vest in AEC, and that to the extent that any such intellectual property rights vest in me, I assign these rights to AEC. I consent to any act or omission by AEC which may otherwise infringe my moral rights.

17. To the full extent permitted by law, I consent to the doing of anything in relation to the Footage that (but for the consents provided in these Terms and Conditions) would otherwise infringe any moral rights, performers’ rights or similar non-assignable personal rights that I might otherwise have including but not limited to publishing the Footage without attribution and modifying/adapting the Footage.

18. I agree to execute all documents and do all things required by AEC for the purpose of giving effect to the above requirements.

Privacy

19. I acknowledge that AEC collects my personal information in accordance with the ACBC’s Privacy Policy, a copy of which can be found via www.catholic.au, for the purposes of enabling participation at BCELM EMNC Gathering. AEC may disclose my personal information to its nominees, which it engages to promote and organise BCELM EMNC Gathering.

20. I acknowledge that AEC is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and that I can access, modify, or delete the personal information AEC holds about me by contacting the Director of the National Centre for Evangelisation via email at info@nce.catholic.org.au or by post to GPO Box 368 Canberra 2601 ACT.

21. I understand further information about how AEC handles my personal information can be found in the ACBC’s Privacy Policy.

22. I agree that the laws of Australian Capital Territory (ACT), Australia govern these terms and conditions.
