The Woman and Man: One in Christ Jesus research project on "The Participation of Women in the Catholic Church in Australia" was undertaken for the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference by the Bishops' Committee for Justice, Development and Peace, Australian Catholic University and the Australian Conference of Leaders of Religious Institutes. The Project was launched by Cardinal Clancy on August 21, 1996 and the Report of the Project presented to the Plenary Meeting of the Australian Catholic Bishops on April 12, 1999.

Participants gather regularly to share their faith as they go through various study guides on documents like John Paul II's "Letter to Women" and Letter on "Redemptoris Mater", the spiriutality of Sts Teresa of Avila and Catherine of Siena, and the life and writings of St Edith Stein.
