A resource from the Australian Catholic Bishops' National Centre for Evangelisation

WELCOME to our latest issue of The Bridge. Here we bring together stories and resources to inspire and assist intergenerational, collaborative and dynamic evangelisation in Australia. In this issue we see how evangelisation requires personal connection and an openness to learn from others.

Mother Hilda Scott OSB shares with us the importance of listening, continuing the Catholic Enquiry Centre's series on accompaniment. David Jorna explains how to be hope-filled and purposeful in these challenging times and we see how people like Tricia O’Keeffe have lived a life of hope supporting the Faith and Light community. Members of the Rockingham parish in WA share their story of coming together as a multicultural and missionary parish. Finally we hear from men in Darwin about their experience of the ACBC National Men’s Gathering, and we highlight a leadership and formation experience for a community of young women in 2021.

We continue to pray for all those who are variously affected by COVID-19, and our country, as it emerges from significant periods of lockdown which has separated families and communities.

Every blessing,
Malcolm Hart, NCE Director
